The Ventura Police Community Foundation (VPCF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, awards grants to organizations and individuals whose projects enhance public safety in Ventura. Eligible applicants include local nonprofits, community groups, police support programs, and youth initiatives. Grants are specifically for efforts that align with supporting the Ventura Police Department, enriching the community, or providing programs for youth that involve officers.
The VPCF Grant Program is designed to strengthen public safety and enrich the Ventura community by funding projects that directly benefit the police department, youth, or broader community. Its mission is threefold: reinforce police services, cultivate positive youth engagement through hands‑on programs with officers, and foster community initiatives. Through these grants, VPCF prioritizes building trust, enhancing safety, and supporting vital services .
Past awardees include the Ventura Police Explorer Program, Ventura Unified School District Afterschool Programs, MADD, United Way Ventura County, Special Olympics, Ventura County Autism Society, the Police Unity Tour, the Castro Family Toy Drive, among many others. Projects supported span officer training, youth engagement, mental-health and wellness events, VPD community block parties, and resources for children and families.
